MIAMI (CBSMiami) — On February 8th, Chipotle Mexican Grill will close all of its restaurants around the country for a short time while the company meets to talk food safety, as reported by the Chicago Tribune.

The meeting comes in light of bacterial outbreaks in several states around the U.S. that has sickened hundreds of Chipotle customers.

Company sales dropped 30 percent in the fourth quarter of 2015 following separate outbreaks for salmonella, E. Coli and norovirus during the year.

43 stores were shut down in the Pacific Northwest and in December, 141 students in Boston reportedly got sick after eating at a Chipotle restaurant.

Last week, the company announced that they were being investigated by the Food and Drug Administration.
