MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Former Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin has found a new home.

Philbin is joining the New York Giants coaching staff under new head coach Ben McAdoo, though there are conflicting reports as to what his role will be.

Initial reports stated that Philbin would become the Giants offensive coordinator.

Now there is talk that he will serve in a different role, possibly as an assistant head coach.

Philbin and McAdoo worked together on Mike McCarthy’s staff in Green Bay from 2006 to 2011.

The Giants have yet to officially announce the hiring of Philbin.
