Boil Water Notice To Be Issued For Lauderdale Neighborhood

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - A pipe repair on Sunrise Boulevard will lead to a boil water notice for one section of Ft. Lauderdale early Thursday.

On Wednesday, at 9 p.m., all westbound lanes of Sunrise Boulevard will be closed from Bayview Drive to Federal Highway so crews can replace part of a water main and then repair the roadway.

Drivers heading westbound on Sunrise Boulevard will be detoured north on Bayview Drive to NE 26th Street and then west to Federal Highway. There will be no left turns from 20th Avenue onto westbound Sunrise Boulevard.

Water service is expected to be restored and the roadway is expected to re-open on Thursday morning.

The Precautionary Boil Water Notice which will become effective immediately when water service is restored on Thursday morning.

Approximately 250 residents and 243 business customers will be impacted by the temporary water service interruption.
