Media outlets report 23-year-old Rodrick Demetrius Woods was arrested Monday. He faces first-degree murder and robbery charges in the death of 19-year-old Nicholas Max Acosta, who attended Florida Atlantic University.
According to a news release, Acosta’s girlfriend said five men entered a third-floor apartment Dec. 29 and ordered the couple to the ground. Acosta was shot. Police say surveillance video at the apartment shows Woods entering the apartment.
FAU soccer player Donovan Malik Henry also faces first-degree murder and robbery charges in the shooting. The 19-year-old was arrested Dec. 30.
