MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Calorie conscious diners at Chick-fil-A may be pleased with a new addition to the menu; a kale salad.

The restaurant is calling it a "superfood side," offering a blend of kale and broccolini tossed in a maple vinaigrette dressing. It will be topped with sour cherries and roasted nuts.

The side is available in 5 or 8-ounce servings, and priced starting at $2.59 for the 5 oz. and $3.79 for the 8 oz. portion. The small is just 140 calories and the large is 170 calories.

The superfood side will also be offered as a substitution in any combo meal for an extra 94 cents.

It will debut on Jan. 18, the day the chain's popular coleslaw will be retired from the menu after nearly 50 years.
