On Tuesday, the lottery officials announced that the jackpot, which has rolled 17 times since the November 7 drawing, has been raised from $400 million to $450 million for Wednesday night’s drawing.

In addition to the large jackpot prize, players have the opportunity to win lower-tier prizes from $4 up to $2 million by matching any of the non-jackpot-winning combinations. There have been more than one million Florida Powerball winners in this series of rollovers, winning more than $9 million in prizes.

“We would love for Wednesday’s drawing to result in Florida’s 205th Powerball millionaire,” said Florida Lottery Secretary Tom Delacenserie.

Jackpot prizes are paid in either a one time lump sum or in 30 annual installments.

Jackpot prizes must be claimed within 60 days after the drawing to receive the cash option of an estimated $275.4 million.
