$45K Bond For Teen Driver In Deadly Hit & Run

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- A man wanted in connection deadly hit and run in northwest Miami-Dade faced a judge Tuesday morning.

A judge set bond at $45,000 for 18-year old Jonathan Alexander Taylor who is accused of hitting and killing 67-year old Braulio Perez.

Police said the 18-year old was headed East in the area of 59th Avenue and northwest 199th Street on Monday morning when he lost control of the car and hit Perez head on.

After the accident Taylor abandoned the car, which turned out to be stolen, and ran off.

Perez, was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he died. He leaves behind two sons and a grandson.

Taylor is charged with leaving the scene with a death, vehicular homicide and no valid driver's license with a death.
