Her Live Ultimate Run on South Beach kicked off Sunday morning at Lummus Park and benefited the Serena Williams Fund.

The race was 5 kilometers, or just a little more than 3 miles, but Serena couldn’t actually finish the entire run and hailed a taxi to take her the rest of the way.

The Daily Mail tweeted out a few photos showing Serena getting out of the cab.

On Facebook, Serena vowed she’d finish the race next year.

On Monday, Serena Williams was announced as Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year and was featured on the magazine’s cover. She won 53 matches this year and three Grand Slam titles.
