MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Miami International Airport (MIA) is enormous and it can be confusing to navigate through it all. Now there's an app to help you find everything you need.

More than 40 million people fly in and out of MIA everyday.

"These airports are big. They are confusing. So any way to ease that for the passengers is what we are focused on right now," said Alexis Aran Coello with American Airlines.

American Airlines updated their app in November and with it came a feature which makes navigating through MIA a first class experience.

"The app is going to tell you where you are with a blue dot," said Coello.

Hence why the airline called it the Blue Dot feature.  It tells you what level or floor you are on in the airport.

The feature let's you look up specific restaurants.

CBS4's Vaness Borge typed in bagels and it directed her to Einstein Brothers Bagels in the airport.

Blue Dot uses Wi-Fi signals to find your location and gives you turn-by-turn directions which is helpful for connecting flights that could take you to gates far away from each other.

The app also helps you find magazines, your favorite candy, the nearest bathroom or security checkpoint.

The Blue Dot feature is also available at Chicago O'Hare International Airport and San Jose, California airports.

As for Broward County,  they have no plans to make it available for Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
