On Tuesday, Jesus Villalobos, 16, was walking along the Florida East Coast Railway tracks when he was hit by a train, according to the Sun-Sentinel.READ MORE: Florida House Cruise Ship Bill Narrowed To Key West
Delray Beach Police said the train conductor saw the boy and sounded the horn but could not stop in time. Villalobos likely didn’t hear the horn or the train itself because of his headphones, police concluded.MORE NEWS: Social Media Crackdown Moves Forward
Officers said Villalobos was from Colombia and was a student-athlete at Elev8 Sports Institute, playing on the school’s baseball team.
