WEST PARK (CBSMiami) -- Police are investigating the death of a man who was shot multiple times in the parking lot of a West Park strip club.

Words turned deadly Wednesday morning after the Broward Sheriff's Office said the gunman and victim got into an argument inside the Playhouse Gentlemen's Club on W. Hallandale Beach Blvd. and S.W. 58th Avenue, at just about closing time.

"The victim on this case had engaged in an argument with other club-goers inside the club. At some point during the night, the victim decided to go outside to the parking lot where he was shot at several times," said BSO Spokeswoman Gina Carter.

He ended up between two cars and was pronounced dead on scene. It's not clear if he was armed.

Investigators said a bullet from the gunfire also pierced through a door and grazed a woman working inside the business.

"The bullet actually entered one of the metal doors and struck her in the wrist," Carter said.

Investigators interviewed employees and witnesses to learn more about what led up to the shooting.

"Right now our crime scene unit is conducting their investigation looking at all the forensic evidence, as well as the video from the scene to determine if more than one person fired a weapon," Carter said, including, "...whether the two groups knew each other."
