La Canfora: Patriots 'Not The Team You Should Measure' The Dolphins With
"Listen that's a tough gig under any circumstances," CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora said of last night's loss to the Patriots on the Big O Show. "I think my mantra has pretty much been the same but this has been a season of extremes for these guys and this falls into that category again and at some point there's probably a level of production that they can sustain that on a scale of 1-100, it's not gonna be the 15-20 percent that they were putting out for Philbin. And it's not gonna be the 100 percent they were putting out for Campbell. That's not sustainable either. Where does it fall in between?
"Now this particular opponent will make it look a whole lot more like Philbin. That's part of the Patriot's brilliance. Frankly that's not the team you should measure the Miami Dolphins with right now. They're gonna run away with that division again. They might go undefeated. Should you lose in that fashion? No but where they need to measure themselves is against the likes of the Jets and the Steelers and the Raiders and the Chargers, right? Because that's the Wildcard scene in the AFC this year."
The Dolphins travel to Buffalo next week amid a muddled AFC wildcard playoff race.
