Butch Davis to the U?

Early odds for the next head coach of the Miami Hurricanes’ football team have been posted on Bovada and Butch leads the way.

Davis, who coached Miami from 1995-2000, is listed at +175 (Bet $1 to win $1.75). Other coaches with ties to the University of Miami directly follow him in Mario Cristobal (+350) and Rob Chudzinski (+500).

In a radio interview this morning, Davis confirmed his interest in the gig, saying he’d “love to be considered for that opportunity.”

Butch went 8-5 (4-4 in ACC) in each of his last three seasons at North Carolina (2008-2010).
