MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Miami Police are asking for the public's help to identify a car involved in a hit and run earlier this month.

Investigators said they are looking for a Black Ford F-150 that should have damages to the right front bumper.

Police say that car hit and seriously injured a man on October 1st.

Authorities said it all happened just before 11 p.m. near NW 16th Street and N. Miami Avenue.

The black Ford F-150 was driving South on NW N. Miami Avenue, approaching the intersection of NW 16th Street.

Meantime, the cyclist was pedaling along the raised concrete curve on the west side of NW N.Miami Ave from the intersection of NW 16 Street.

That's when, police said, the driver of the black Ford slammed into the cyclist causing him to be thrown from his bicycle and hit his head on the curb.

The driver then sped off and failed to help the cyclist, authorities said.

Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade Crimestoppers at (305) 471- TIPS.
