MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A former Miami International Airport operations manager was sentenced to 50 months in prison for conspiracy to possess and sell cocaine.

Vinicio Morales, 53, previously pleaded guilty to the conspiracy charge.

Court records show that in 2011 Morales agreed to take $12,500 for his help in offloading cocaine being flown into Miami from arriving international flights.

Morales was arrested after he reportedly offloaded what he believed to be five kilograms of cocaine from the cargo can of an arrival at MIA.
