DAVIE (CBSMiami) -- Who better to tell us about new Miami Dolphins interim head coach Dan Cameron than the Dolphins' starting tight end? After all Dan Campbell coached that group before being named interim head coach on Monday.

"I think he brings a lot of energy, a lot of passion," Jordan Cameron said of his former tight ends coach. "He loves this game. Every time he talks about football he gets the chills. You can see it on his arms. He loves football and it's a guy that you can get behind and like I was saying before, everybody would run through a wall for Dan Campbell. Everyone in this locker room would say the same thing and I think it's awesome, the loyalty we have towards him is huge. It's gonna be a good thing."

Campbell showed off some of that passion after his first practice -- a day of Oklahoma drills, high energy, and even a skirmish.

"Here we are – new interim head coach, lot of those guys have a ton of respect for Coach Philbin and there's still possibly changes that could happen and so it's a lot for those guys," Campbell said. "And so ultimately all I wanted to see is guys come out and compete and violently compete, and I felt that today. I felt that and I think they felt it too.

"That's why they have the pads on."

The Dan Campbell Era is in full swing.
