Around 5 p.m., the water was back up and running but it’s not over. A boil water notice has been set in place for a minimum of two days.

Residents and businesses are advised that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes be boiled.  A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.  Bottled water may be used as an alternative.

Earlier, emergency crews were repairing the water main on Bayview Drive near NE 11th Street.  Service was interrupted for about 13 homes in the area.

One restaurant was without water and it wasn’t an easy thing to do. They set up a hand washing station for customers and washed the dishes with spring water.
