Driver Hits School Bus, Speeds Off

LAUDERHILL (CBSMiami) -- A driver slammed into a school bus filled with students and sped off in Lauderhill, authorities said.

Fire Rescue officials said there were 15 middle school students on the bus at the time of the incident early Monday morning.

No one was injured in the crash.

Part of the roadway on the westbound lanes of Sunrise Boulevard were closed at NW 31st Avenue due to that crash and two others in the same location.

Within a half hour, the two other crashes also occurred. In both, three cars were involved but in one of them three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Chopper4 was over the scene  as a school bus could be seen stopped in the middle of the roadway. Another car could also be seen slammed into a fence just feet away.
