Could Nick Saban be the next coach of the Indianapolis Colts?

“You got Andrew Luck in Indianapolis,” Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio said on the Joe Rose Show. “I really think that what [Nick Saban] said about Drew Brees was not an accident and he’s a name that you’ve got to keep an eye on if Jim Irsay decides to press the reset button in Indy.”

A few weeks ago, Saban was quoted in an interview with ESPN saying, “if we’d had Drew Brees, I might still be in Miami.”

Would the former Dolphins head coach work with a hands-on type like Irsay as his boss?

“You have to have the ground rules going in,” Florio said, “and it would have to be so much money that Saban would have the power that goes along with it. If you pay the guy enough money you’ve got the power to tell the owner ‘I don’t mean to be rude but get the hell out of my office, and leave the little debbies.’

“He’s got unfinished business. I think he’s got unfinished business.”
