The sixth annual “John Offerdahl’s Broward Health® Gridiron Grill-Off Food & Wine Festival” on Saturday, November 14 promises to be better than ever with several new exciting additions, including first-time restaurant partners, a craft beer experience, an expanded Guy Harvey’s Sustainable Seafood Village and a national celebrity guest.
Restaurants now join the competition, including The Oceanaire Seafood Room and Naked Taco of Miami, Rebel House of Boca Raton and Piccolo Ristorante and Beauty and the Feast of Fort Lauderdale. Beer-lovers will rejoice in the addition of the Samuel Adams Craft Beer Garden, featuring samples of thirst-quenching Samuel Adams brews and additional craft beer brands, including Traveler and Miami’s own Concrete Beach. This creative exhibition, sponsored by Boston Beer Company, will highlight information on Samuel Adams’ signature brewing and ingredient selection processes.
Guy Harvey’s Sustainable Seafood Village will be expanded to include an educational and interactive exhibition, plus feature three of the competition’s 25 restaurants, including Dauphin’s, S3 and The Oceanaire Seafood Room. Bringing national attention to this annual event, Adam Richman, author, actor and television personality from Travel Channel’s “Man Finds Food” and NBC’s food competition show “Food Fighters,” will be in attendance to sign copies of his new book, “Straight Up Tasty” (Clarkson Potter), which debuted in June 2015. Richman will also be cooking a recipe from his cookbook with John Offerdahl at 4 p.m. at the Toyota Cornhole Stadium and Festival Stage.
