Estefans Clarify New Song Isn't Aimed At Trump

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – If you believe headlines popping up on the internet Thursday night, you would think Gloria and Emilio Estefan are taking on Donald Trump.
However, a spokesperson for the Estefans told CBS4 those reports aren't quite right.
The Estefans are working on a star-studded song called "We're All Mexican."
Emilio Estefan went as far as to post a video on his Facebook page saying he wants to clear up the confusion.
"I want to be sure people don't get confused. When I wrote and produced We're All Mexican, it was scheduled to be released now for Hispanic heritage to bring people together," he said.
The original report came from Billboard Magazine.
The article said the song was intended to combat an anti-Mexican and anti-immigrant sentiment in the country fueled by Trump's campaign.
The Estefans' spokesperson told CBS4 this has nothing to do with GOP presidential contender.
