DANIA BEACH (CBSMiami) – One person is dead after a shooting in Dania Beach on Monday night.

The incident took place at the Winn Dixie plaze at 308 E. Dania Beach Blvd.

According to authorities, a man in his 60s opened fire on another person who’s identity has not been made public.

The victim was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital where they passed away.

The shooter is in custody and Broward Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives are investigating.

The motive is unknown at this time.
