“Look everybody should’ve known that he wasn’t close to ready. Ireland even knew he wasn’t close to ready,” NFL Network’s Jeff Darlington said on the Joe Rose Show of back when the Dolphins drafted Ryan Tannehill. “The guy was a wide receiver in college. So the fact that now he’s coming into his own a little bit at this point in his career, it makes great sense. We saw the constant progression the past few years. Now all of a sudden I mean this guy is a man. He’s not a young NFL player anymore. You talk to Ryan, you look at him physically speaking. This is a man now.

“I’ll go on the line and say he’s a Top 10 quarterback in the NFL. I think that he has every bit of work ethic and skill set to make him the type of quarterback that leads this team to a deep playoff run.”
