The Miami Dolphins didn’t land Pro Bowl guard Evan Mathis but that doesn’t mean the team’s front office isn’t of the highest pedigree, according to one prominent NFL agent.

“Here’s what I’m gonna say just in general to Dolphins fans about Mike Tannenbaum and Dennis Hickey,” Drew Rosenhaus said on the Joe Rose Show. “And this has nothing to do with Evan Mathis… I don’t think there’s a better NFL executive in the National Football League. That’s a strong statement but I can tell you there’s no harder working, more driven, passionate, creative executive than Mike Tannenbaum in the NFL. The Dolphins fans and organization are very fortunate to have him. Does that mean Mike Tannenbaum like anybody else is perfect? I mean I’m not perfect but I will tell you this. He’s a really hardworking, talented NFL executive and the same goes for Dennis Hickey. I believe the Dolphins have as good a front office right now as they’ve ever had when I’ve dealt with them. And I’ve dealt with everyone from Don Shula to Jimmy Johnson to Bill Parcells to Nick Saban, Dave Wannstedt and company, Jeff Ireland…

“They do not deserve to receive any criticism in my opinion at least in my dealings with them. They’ve been consummate professionals.”

Rosenhaus also doled out high praise for Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, saying he’s “absolutely one of the best owners in the NFL — that’s a fact.”
