PD Investigating Robbery, Shooting In Lauderhill

LAUDERHILL (CBSMiami) --  Lauderhill Police are trying to sort out a robbery and shooting in a residential neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.

Police said a masked gunmen tried to rob a man inside the Casa Georgetown community off of 441 around 3:00 p.m.

Investigators said the victim struggled with the gunman and the victim was shot one time in the hip.

He was taken to a hospital where he is being treated.

Police said they have detained several people but, as of 5 p.m., they were not sure if they are witnesses or suspects.

Police are asking for anyone with information about the crime to call Broward County Crimestoppers at (954) 493- TIPS.
