Top Chef Winner Sued Over Failed Philadelphia Restaurant

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- A winner of TV's "Top Chef" is being sued over a failed restaurant in Philadelphia.

A Lancaster contractor says chef Kevin Sbraga still owes $106,000 for kitchen equipment installed at the now-shuttered Juniper Commons.

Clark Food Service Equipment's lawsuit, filed Friday in Philadelphia Common Pleas Court, calls the South Street restaurant an "abject failure." It closed after less than six months.

Philly.com reports that Sbraga referred calls to developer Carl Dranoff. He called the lawsuit a "routine matter" and expects it will be settled.

Sbraga won Bravo's "Top Chef" cooking competition in 2010, impressing judges with his roasted duck dumplings.
