The atmosphere immediately surrounding Danny remains somewhat moist and it's forecast to strengthen into the first hurricane of the season possibly as soon as Thursday night or Friday. However, it has not strengthened over the last 24 hours.

Currently there are no watches or warning posted for this storm.

Since we've got a while to watch this one, it's a great reminder that we are entering what is historically the most active time of hurricane season between August 15th to October 15th.
