The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office reports that 23-year-old Dejerrian Murray turned himself in Tuesday.
The video, which has been viewed by millions, was posted on another man’s Facebook page last month. Authorities say it shows Murray, who is black, running out of a car, pulling a Confederate flag off the side of a house and then running back to the car. The resident later reported the theft to the sheriff’s office.
Murray was charged Tuesday with petty theft and possession of a controlled substance. He was later released on $3,500 bail.
