ORLANDO, Fla. (CBSMiami/AP) — One of the most popular roller coasters at Universal's Islands of Adventure is shutting down for the next month.

The theme park recently announced on its website that The Incredible Hulk roller coaster is closing down the day after Labor Day — Sept. 8 — and reopening sometime next summer. The bright green Hulk, named after the Marvel Comics character, is undergoing some new enhancements and improvements to its ride vehicles.

The Hulk has been at Universal since opening in 1999. It features seven inversions, a 100-foot drop and top speeds of nearly 70 miles per hour.
