MIAMI (CBSMiami/NSF) --  Florida will play host to one of the democratic debates in the presidential primaries.

The Democratic National Committee announced Thursday that Miami will host one of six debates for Democratic candidates.

The date and location of the Florida debate will be released later, but the announcement indicated it will be a Univision/Washington Post debate in February or March.

The Democrats' schedule will start Oct. 13th with a debate in Nevada, followed by a Nov. 14th debate in Des Moines, Iowa; a Dec. 19 debate in Manchester, N.H., and a Jan. 17 debate in Charleston, S.C. Along with Florida, a debate will be held in February or March in Wisconsin.

A Republican presidential debate also is scheduled March 10 in Florida, according to an earlier announcement from CNN, one of the sponsors.

Florida's presidential primaries are scheduled for March 15th.
