MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The body of a free diver who went missing has been recovered by members of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office dive team on Saturday.

Pedro Fernandez of Miami was free diving with friends on Friday near the Adolphus Busch wreck offshore of Little Torch Key on the ocean side.

The 37-year-old was reported missing in the evening and the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Coast Guard searched for him overnight.

His body was found in about 71 feet of water at 10:30 Saturday morning not far from the wreck. It will be turned over to the medical examiner for an autopsy.
