AVENTURA (CBSMiami) – Eva Mendes is as busy as she is beautiful. The 41-year-old is an actress, a clothing designer, a mom and now the face behind Estee Lauder’s New Dimension Skincare line.

Over the weekend, Eva met loyal fans at Nordstrom at Aventura Mall to promote the line and she stopped to chat with CBS4 about this important time of her life.

“What an amazing time in my life to be the face of a new product. I just turned 40 last year, I just had a baby so I need all the help I can get! I feel very lucky for many reasons right now,” Mendes said.

Yes a lucky lady for sure.

Her boyfriend and father of her beautiful baby girl, Esmeralda, is none other than Ryan Gosling – one of Hollywood’s hottest leading men.

Now the challenge for this busy lady is juggling it all.

“My daughter is 10 months old, so part of me is always conflicted when it’s time to work,” she said.  “That’s the same for most working women who are mothers. The biggest challenge is balance.”

Eva said as she grows older, she now knows the importance of being healthy from the inside out. Eating well and caring for her skin.

“For me it’s about embracing change as you get older. It’s about doing as much as you can at home so when you are out there, especially with what I do , I’m  photographed all the time, so it’s  doing what I can to put my best self forward,” Mendes explained.

And Eva is thankful her success has not come all at once.

Success happened gradually for me and is still happening gradually in a way, so I’ve had time to adjust,” she said.

And this Cuban-American woman, with a strong craving for “cafecito,” couldn’t be happier to be back in South Florida.

“I feel like home when I’m here. My abuela (grandma) is here. I feel comfortable with the people who came to see me today. It feels like family here,” she said.
