Woman Carjacked Outside Boynton Beach Publix

BOYTON BEACH (CBSMiami) - Authorities are searching for three men who carjacked and attempted to rob a woman outside a Boynton Beach Publix.

Police said the 59-year old woman was loading groceries into her car at that the Sunshine Square parking lot at 501 S.E. 18th Ave. just before 10 p.m. on Wednesday.

That's when she said she three men walked up to her and started trying to pull her purse from her shoulder. When she tried to resist, one of them pulled a gun on her.

At one point the purse strap broke and the woman was able to run away with her purse but the men had been able to grab her car key.

All three men got away in her white 2012 Chevy with a Florida tag number of L037KA.

Authorities are now asking for the public's help in spotting the bandits.

Officers describe the gunman as a black male, 18-19 years old, between 5-foot-10 and 6 feet tall, thin build, short hair, and no facial hair.  He was last seen wearing a white short-sleeve shirt and long black pants.

The other two suspects are described as black males, 15-16 years old, approximately 5-foot-5 with short hair and no facial hair.
