It’s becoming evident a large chunk of national media think Al Golden is on the hot seat this season after a team loaded with NFL talent went 6-7 a year ago.

“It’s gonna be an interesting year for [Al] Golden,” CBS Sports’ Jon Solomon said on the Joe Rose Show. “I’ve got to think that he’s on the sort of so called hot seat. I don’t know how many wins he has to get. I know that I think Miami, the administration, would want him to stay. I think they’ve tried to be loyal because he was so loyal to them during a really difficult time after the NCAA violations but at some point they’re gonna have to show some more success on the field. Particularly in the ACC. It’s not a great conference, it’s a conference that — particularly the division they’re in — they could have some more success and yet all these years Miami has still never played for the ACC Championship game.”
