Two Young Girls Rescued From Miami House Fire

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami Fire Rescue saved two young girls who were trapped in a house fire on Thursday.

Firefighters said they found the twin 4-year-old girls hiding under a bed.

Fire rescue said they did not know where the mother was at the time, but she is now at the hospital with the children.

Investigators are also looking into whether someone intentionally started the fire, and then took off from the scene.

But the girls' grandmother may have the answer investigators are looking for.

She told CBS4 her son was the one who started the blaze. She said she was in court Thursday trying to get him baker acted again.

"They released him and he came and burned down the house," she said. "There was two kids in the house and they weren't alone."

No word yet on the current condition of the children.
