MIAMI (CBSMiami) - It's just another day on the beach in the Bahamas for Ocean Drive Magazine while the photographer shoots its cover girl on the beautiful beaches...and yes, it's all about the coveted Ocean Drive Annual Swimsuit Issue.

"It's our annual swim issue and it comes out every July and August. It's a big book and we are very excited about it. We always manage to have an amazing model of the moment on the cover. This year it's Martha Hunt. She's the latest Victoria Secret Angel and we shot her in the Bahamas. It's stunning, she is great," said Ocean Drive's Assistant Editor Julia Ford Carther.

Yes, Martha Hunt was in the islands, but here in Fort Lauderdale at the soon-to-be-built Auberge Residences and Spa, photographer Courtney Rodwell is shooting local model Audra Mari showcasing the latest looks for the swim insert section of the issue.

"We're going tell you about the trends coming up, what to expect during Swim Week, and all the events, so it's really exciting," Carther said.

So let's talk some trends.

"There is new romantic trend Audra is wearing; it's an appliqué with lace brown and soft pink. It's all a lingerie feel," she said. "Then, one of my favorites is the wanderlust from Marrakesh to Mumbai, we're talking color…appliqués, embellishments—the more the better."

And finally the monokini, or one piece with cut outs. It's a modern take on a true silhouette.

But Audra Mari, who considers herself a larger-sized swimsuit model, wants young girls to know she does not worry about looking perfect. For her, it's about being healthy.

"I'm not perfect and I never will be," Audra said. "Everybody has insecurities. Modeling is great because it brings out the positive things about yourself. So no, you don't need to be perfect, and then it's important to know they do have Photoshop!" she said, laughing.

The Ocean Drive Swimsuit Issue is on newsstands July 1.
