According to Broward Sheriff’s investigators, shots were fired just after 4 a.m. outside of Tropicante Night Club on North Dixie Highway and NE 42nd Street.

“We know that the three victims had been inside the club and the club had closed just after 4 a.m. and they were leaving, two of them were sitting in a car in the parking lot right right around the corner and a third was standing near the car when they were shot,” said sheriff’s spokewoman Dani Moschella.

The two people in the car drove off when the gunfire erupted, but only made it a few blocks and ended up in a residential area.
