The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Tallahassee reports that 40-year-old William J. Ray and 43-year-old Corry B. Fletcher have been charged with violating the civil rights of an inmate at the Franklin Correctional Institution.READ MORE: Pembroke Pines Police Say No Credibility In Viral Online School Threat
An indictment that was unsealed Wednesday states that Ray and Fletcher physically assaulted an inmate without justification in July 2014, causing the inmate bodily injury. Authorities say Fletcher also obstructed justice in April by intentionally misleading FBI and Florida Department of Law Enforcement agents through false statements.
