In February of 2014, surveillance cameras caught Lambert, and Deputy Mike Manresa, slamming David Gonzalez to the ground at a Deerfield Beach gas station.

Both Lambert and Manresa were charged with falsifying police reports afterward to make it appear the attack was justified.

Lambert is now suspended without pay.

The victim's attorney, Michael Glasser, issued a statement following Lambert's arrest, "we're glad that justice won't be a double standard for incidents such as this. We will let justice take its course."
