Massive Job Fair Coming Up At BB&T Center

SUNRISE (CBSMiami) - More than 75 companies will be represented at massive job fair in Sunrise this week.

Employers will be looking at filling more than 6,000 positions when they meet with prospective candidates Wednesday, June 10th, at the BB&t Center at One Panther Parkway. The job fair will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Those planning to attend should pre-register online at www.jobnewsftl.com. Print out your registration page and bring it with you. This is your "fast pass" into the Job Fair at 10 a.m. only.

So which companies will be looking to hire?

Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo Ralph Lauren, Victoria's Secret, Gap and Old Navy, will all be at the event recruiting to find top candidates for the following positions at their Sawgrass Mills Mall stores: Management, Sales Associates, Stockroom, Supervisors, Assistant Managers, Shipment Associates and Cashiers.

TMS Health, a Xerox Pharma Services company, will be recruiting for Customer Service Agents, Inside Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives and Client Services Managers! Sawgrass Mills will be interviewing for Guest Services, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Security, Supervisors, Dispatchers, Shuttle Drivers, Lot Attendants and Valet Attendants.

Bags Inc will be recruiting for jobs at the port: Lead Cruise Agents, Administrative Assistants, Shift Supervisors, Baggage handlers and wheelchair attendants.

The Miami Dolphins are staffing up for the season. They're looking to fill openings for Guest Services, Parking and Operations.

ALDI is opening up a new location in Cooper City! They are recruiting for Store Associates ($12/hr), Manager Trainees ($22/hr) and Shift Managers ($16/hr).

D&D Welding is hiring for estimators, Fabricators, Installers, Project Managers and Welders at the event.

YMCA of South Florida is hiring a Graphic Designer, After School Counselors, Marketing Associates and Personal Trainers.

Albion Staffing is recruiting for a little of everything. Bilingual Customer Service/Reservations Agents, Loan Processors/Closers, Underwriters, Accounting Clerks, Controllers, Medical Record Abstractors, Mental Health Technicians, Substance Abuse Specialists ll, KYC Specialists, BSA High Risk Investigators, Certified Billers and Coders, Bilingual Medical assistants, Compliance Managers-Healthcare, Import/Export Coordinator and Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Associates.

If you plan to attend, here are some tips to get you ready.

Dress your absolute best. This doesn't mean you have to go out and purchase an expensive outfit, just dress clean cut and professional. Also, update your resume and bring at least 30 copies with you.

It's a good idea to do a little research in advance. Pick a few companies from the list and learn more about them online. The more you know about the company, the more you can converse with them at the event!

If you have kids, make sure you arrange for a baby sitter. No children will be allowed into the event.

BB&T Center conducts a security check at the door. The job fair organizers have asked that big purses be left at home. The less stuff that security has to check at the door, the quicker the lines will move.
