Jamari was in tremendous pain while in the hospital, but maintained a positive outlook.

“Well, myself, my leg hurts real bad,” Jamari said. “But at least I can walk.”

The bullet is still lodged in his left calf and he has to use a walker to get around. But his family is grateful his injuries were not worse.

“I thank God he ain’t dead, that God gave him a chance to have him again, you know, a second chance in life,” said hie mother, Sandra Fair.

Investigators may release some of the surveillance tape in hopes the community can help.
