Surtain: 'I Like Guys Who Lead by Example' Like Zach Thomas
Pat Surtain, the former Miami Dolphins Pro Bowl cornerback, joined WQAM to share some insight on Ndamukong Suh's much scrutinized leadership ability as well as Dwyane Wade's interesting contract situation.
"Channing makes a great point -- I wasn't a ra-ra type guy," Surtain said on the Marc Hochman Show with Zach Krantz. "Really I don't like those ra ra type guys. I like the guys who lead by example."
Surtain says Suh doesn't have to be a vocal leader, pointing out former Dolphins linebacker Zach Thomas was someone who led by example.
Conversation shifted to Wade and the Heat.
"With D-Wade man, I think it's just a ploy and it's smart on his part to just open that little conversation up to think that he may leave," Surtain said."It's for the negotiating process but at the end of the day, I don't think D-Wade's going away. He's a Heat Lifer."
