Police Looking For Hit-&-Run Driver Who Killed Mother Of 4

POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami) – The Broward Sheriff's Office is investigating a hit-and-run accident that killed a mother of four, just three days before her 31st birthday.

Authorities said the accident occurred at 2:42 a.m. on Saturday.

According to investigators, Fredericka Howard was driving a red 2007 Chevrolet southbound on N.W. 16 Avenue attempting to cross the westbound lanes of W. Atlantic Blvd.

They said when Howard's car entered into the far left westbound lane it was struck by a white Ford F150 that was traveling at high rate of speed.

Howard was taken to the Broward Health North where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the pickup fled the scene.
