MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A charity's mobile kitchen which was stolen and recovered by police is back on the road but looking pretty bland.

Whoever stole the "My Wish 4 U" trailer not only stripped out inside, but also removing the pictures on the outside of smiling children living life the best they can.

Kids battling cancer eat from that trailer. Every year "My Wish 4 U" takes the children and their parents to Orlando, giving them a few days to forget about hospitals and just be kids.

Gabriel Barker was moved when he heard what had happened. His Kendall company, Sign Savers, first put those smiling faces of brave children on the trailer. Now he's going to do it again, re-wrapping and resigning the whole thing, at no cost.

"Not every day do you have the opportunity to witness this, to see the goodness in people shine through and it's just great to be a part of it," said Barker.

When Jim Lee saw it on the news, it touched him too.

"I thought it was a real shame that somebody would do that," said Lee.

That's when he decided he was going to help Joe Zevuloni who runs "My Wish 4 U."

Lee works for Stafford-Smith which is currently renovating concessions at Sun Life Stadium. They're going to donate equipment so Zevuloni can get the kitchen back up and running.

"Joe is going to come over here, look around and pick out anything he wants of the equipment, it's his," said Lee.

"The community, right away, showed us so much love and support," said Zevuloni.

One of the most touching moments for Zevuloni came when a Miami-Dade school teacher called in a crucial tip. When he offered her the promised $5,000 reward, he was stunned by her response.

"I was shocked," said Zevuloni. "She said no."

She told him to take that check, money from his own pocket, and donate it to help the kids. A real lesson in how to put the needs of others first.

"I've got children. Those values are precious. I want my children to have that kind of teacher for the rest of their lives, with that kind of values," said Zevuloni.

The trailer should be wrapped and ready to go by the end of the week. After that they'll work on refitting the inside, then it will be ready for the next adventure with the kids.
