AVENTURA (CBSMiami) - Aventura police are investigating a shooting involving an officer in the parking garage area of the Aventura Mall.
One person was reportedly shot Wednesday in the garage near Bloomingdales.
Chopper4 over the scene found several police cars blocking roads leading to the garage.
During the investigation the mall, on Biscayne Boulevard at NE 195th Street, remained open for business.
This is not the first police involved shooting at the city.

In January 2015, two Aventura officers their weapons into a car to stop Jimmy Daniel, suspected of stealing video games, from running over an officer in the parking lot of a Target. No officers or visitors at the shopping center - which includes a Target, Whole Foods Market and Best Buy - were hurt in the shooting. Police say the use of force was justified, because a car may be used as a weapon.
Daniel got away but was picked up in North Lauderdale.
In 2009, one person was wounded in a police-involved shooting in the Aventura Mall's parking garage near JC Penney, according to CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald. A year earlier, a man opened fire on a woman in another mall parking lot, wounding the woman before killing himself.
In 1999, a love triangle turned deadly in a murder-suicide in front of the mall Starbucks.
