FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) — City of Fort Lauderdale and Broward health officials issued a precautionary advisory for South Fork of the Middle River on Saturday.

Officials said a sewer line broke, possibly contaminating the water.

They are asking residents to avoid swimming, fishing, jet-skiing, or any water-related activities in the waterway.
