Metromover Set To Close This Weekend

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Those who ride Miami-Dade County's Metromover, should be aware it will be closed but there are other options.

Starting Saturday, the Metromover will be shut down for upgrades.

While the system will not be in service, there will be a free shuttle service provided between Metromover stations every 10 to 15 minutes.

Transit officials said the closure is necessary to continue system upgrades and to perform needed work throughout the Metromover system.

The Metromover will be back open Monday at 5:00 a.m.
