MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A South Florida based cruise line thinks it's come up with a way to lure in more potential passengers.

Free drinks!

Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that it will include wine, beer, spirits and soda up to $11 in the cost of the fare on the Norwegian Sky starting in January. The ship sails from Miami on three-and four-day cruises.

To make up for what they may have lost completely on the free drink offer, the company will raise the base price of cruises slightly on the ship for next year, according to CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald. Even with the increase, the cruise line said it would still cost to buy a drinks package offered by their competitors. Those packages typically run about $50 a day per person.

Norwegian, based in headquartered in unincorporated Miami-Dade, is best know for its "Freestyle Cruising". There are no set times or seating arrangements for dining and formal attire is not required.
