MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) — Jeb Bush will not be rushed into making an announcement as to whether he is in, or out, of the 2016 presidential race.

But as America awaits his decision, the former governor is in New York preparing for his likely presidential run.

On Thursday, Bush spoke to a closed breakfast meeting of the Metropolitan Republican Club in Manhattan. Afterward, he said he’d make up his mind about whether to seek the Republican nomination “at some point soon.”

Bush was asked about Democratic New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s push to reduce income equality. He said he is “not a big fan of the progressive agenda.”
