TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/AP) – As Jameis Winston prepares to enter the NFL, he can't seem to shake the things that happened while he was in college.

Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher says Winston's comments that the ex-Seminoles quarterback believed he had an understanding with an unidentified grocery store employee that led to the much-publicized crab legs shoplifting incident are likely true.

Asked about Winston's comments Wednesday during an Atlantic Coast Conference coaches teleconference, Fisher said: "If he says it is, I guess it is." But he added it appears to be "totally an isolated incident."

Fisher says FSU's compliance office contacted the store after Winston's citation last year and again Wednesday.

The Heisman Trophy winner and possible top overall NFL draft pick made the comments on an ESPN pre-draft show that aired Tuesday.

Winston said an employee told him, "Anytime you come in here, I got you," and had previously given Winston a cake for a friend's birthday.
